Grant terms and conditions
these Terms and Conditions outline the eligibility, assessment, and selection process for the OWM Grant 2025, provided by OWM. By applying, applicants agree to the following conditions:
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the OWM Grant 2025, applicants must meet the following criteria:
1. Artistic & Social Impact Focus
The grant is open to anyone who considers their artistic practice a tool for social change.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Performance & Theatre
- Film & Digital Media
- Visual Arts & Design
- Music & Sound
- Literature & Storytelling
- Public & Community Art
- Digital & Experimental Art
2. Global Accessibility
The OWM Grant 2025 is open to applicants worldwide.
3. No Formal Training Required:
Applicants do not need formal artistic education or training to apply.
4. Use of Funds
Successful applicants do not need to provide evidence of how funds are spent.
5. One-Time Grant
Recipients of the OWM Grant 2025 will not be eligible for future OWM grants.
6. Banking Requirements
Successful applicants must provide invoice banking details in their own name for fund transfers.
7. Public Acknowledgment
Grant recipients agree to allow OWM Paris to share at least one piece of their work publicly for a reasonable period on OWM’s website and any other channel to announce their selection.
8. Commitment to Equity
Factors such as age, location, gender, and ethnicity will be considered in the application process to ensure fair and equal opportunities for all.
Assessment Criteria
Applications will be assessed based on the following:
1. Creative & Social Impact
- The applicant must demonstrate a strong idea, vision, or unique approach within their practice.
- The work should address a social issue, engage with communities, or inspire change.
2. Use of Grant Funds
- The applicant should outline a clear, meaningful way in which they plan to use the grant.
- While a specific project is encouraged, funds may also be used for personal costs (e.g., rent, living expenses).
3. Quality & Completeness of Application
- Incomplete or unclear applications will not be considered.
Only projects that have already been initiated or are in active development will be considered. Purely conceptual or undeveloped project ideas will not be eligible for funding.
Application Process
Applicants will be required to submit the following information:
1. Name
2. Age
3. Location
4. Gender
5. Ethnicity
6. Contact details (email or phone number)
7. A short statement detailing their **artistic practice and social impact focus** (100-200 words)
8. A short statement on how they would use the grant funds (100-200 words)
9. A recent piece of work (as an attachment or link) that best represents their practice
10. A website or social media link (if available)
Important Application Notes
- Applications must be completed in full. Incomplete submissions will be removed from the process.
- The application window will remain open for two weeks or until 1,500 applications are received, whichever comes first.
- OWM reserves the right to close the grant application early. Any applications received outside the official application window will not be considered.

Judging Process
1. Applications will be reviewed, and 50 individuals will be shortlisted by the OWM selection team.
2. Shortlisted applicants will be evaluated by a panel of judges whom will be announced upon the applications opening.
3. Final grant recipients will be determined by majority vote from the judging panel.
4. If the judging panel does not reach a majority vote, OWM team reserves the right to make the final decision.
